Meet Alex - founder of soli Strings

Founded by a violinist, alongside her father, Soli Strings was created from a shared commitment to comfort, functionality, and thoughtful design.

After years of performing and teaching violin, Alex experienced playing-related tension and injury, and she discovered that many fellow musicians faced the same challenges.

Conversations with colleagues revealed how common discomfort and strain had become among violinists and violists of all levels.

Drawing on both professional experience and skilled craftsmanship, Alex and her father worked together to develop a shoulder rest that could be more adaptable, customizable, and responsive to the individual player.

The result is a product designed to support healthier, more comfortable playing while maintaining stability and freedom of movement.

Each shoulder rest is created with the belief that musicians should not have to choose between comfort and performance.
