Discover the comfort and customization of SoliRest, featuring our patent-pending shoulder rest design.
The Viola Model fits Violas 15" - 17", including Tertis Models.
Kit includes:
-Formable pad that can be heated in boiling water and formed to your shoulder
-Base frame with many sizing adjustments, to accommodate your viola's bouts
-Rubber grips with lock nuts, to prevent the shoulder rest from falling off your viola
-Set of Risers, to adjust the shoulder rest height
-Gold Forming Pedestal, to aid in the forming process
-Optional foam adhesives, which can be stuck to the form-able pad to add comfort and grip
*Custom Viola Sizing Option*
To accommodate the wide variation in viola dimensions, our standard viola frame is designed with multiple adjustment points for precise sizing flexibility. On smaller violas, this can create additional frame length beyond what is needed for the individual instrument.
To provide a more refined fit, we offer custom frames, based on your selected adjustment position. Once you determine which adjustments on your SoliRest best fit your viola, we can create a custom-sized frame specifically for your instrument, free of charge.
Your kit will include a form to determine which adjustments work best for your SoliRest. Fill out that form and follow the instructions to receive your custom frame.

I like the SoliRest, but for me, I would like to have the part that hooks over the shoulder longer. That's all.

Thank you so much for your review! We are glad you are mostly liking it. To get more of a hook on the shoulder, you could try changing the location of the two grips and move them into holes more on the 'shoulder' side, then re-form your pad. Sometimes it takes a couple tries forming the pad to get it positioned exactly how you regularly hold your instrument. We hope that helps and thanks again!
I loved the adjustability of this shoulder rest! Made it easy to shape to my shoulder and make holding my instrument more comfortable. The shoulder rest even allowed a good fit on my wider Tertis-model viola, and adjusted height well.
The shoulder rest has helped with my shoulder pain and it’s flexibility/adjustability has allowed me to focus more on my playing and less on my pain.
